$title="10th October 2001 - About GM's Deities"; include("../sys/top.php"); ?>
Dear devotees, PAMHO! AGTSP! AGTGM!
After Polish farm we went to Warsaw temple for one week.
Then on Monday September 17 we took train from Warsaw to
Amsterdam. It took about 18 hours, including a three hour
stop in Berlin. GM is giving one university program a week.
His presentations are unique, because he presents KC in
very sophisticated scientific language and at the same time
is able to present also the devotional side of it including
the most esoteric subject such as Radha - Krsna pastimes.
The students like it very much and after the class ask many
questions, which GM expertly and satisfyingly answers.
From 23th September until 7th October we are staying at
Dharmaksetra Prabhu's place in Groningen (the north of
Holland). GM is mainly resting and studying. Sometimes he
goes for a bike ride. Almost every evening Pitambara
Mataji (Dharmaksetra's wife) cooks for GM something very
very spicy and GM likes it very much.
On 4th October he also received one reporter from one
Dutch Hindu radio station for an interview about his puja
to the Salagrams, it's meaning and philosophical
explanation of impersonalist's and devotee's understanding
of the Supreme. The reporter was quite intelligent, had
some training in philosophy and asked good questions. GM
has spiced his answers with stories and examples which were
close to the Hindu community. This radio program is very
popular amongst the Hindus.
After I have asked GM about his Deities of Sri Sri Laksmi
-Sesa -Sayi. They are actually Radha - Krsna, but They
appear as Laksmi Narayan. It is Their pastime, but still
They are in Goloka mood. Except for Vraja Riti Cintamani
there is also mention about similar form of the Lord in Cc,
actually there is the famous picture of Sri Sri Laksmi
-Ksirodakasayi Visnu sitting on Lord Anantasesa. The
Deities were made according to this picture by Sasabindu
Prabhu in Sofia (Radha, Krsna and Anantasesa). And They
are installed Deities. Because Their forms are made from a
mixture of metals where brass is very prominent, They get
darker after some time. From time to time GM asks me to
polish Them. Once I also had to undress Them before and
dress Them after the polishing and it was little demanding,
because Their ornaments and clothes are very very small.
Therefore GM during puja every day offers Them just a drop
of water with the mantra instead of "really "dressing Them.
GM worships this particular form because he thought it to
be more in the mood in which he does the Salagram worship,
including everyday's small fire sacrifice.
